7 Days Gorilla trekking and Golden monkey safari in Rwanda

On arrival at the Kigali international Airport, you will be met by our safari guide who will transfer you to Volcanoes National Park. The journey to the North goes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that display Rwanda’s landscape and the beautiful breathtaking land of over 1000 hills.

After breakfast you will drive to the park headquarters of Parc National des Volcans where you will be briefed by the ranger guides. With packed lunch you will then start the gorilla trekking through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga. You may have an option of visiting ibyiwacu ex poacher’s village for cultural performance after tracking.

After breakfast, you will have a golden monkey track. These golden monkeys are the most endangered primates in the Volcanoes.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to Karisoke where Dian Fossey, a woman who carried out Comprehensive research about Mountain Gorillas in Africa was buried. At the spot where she was buried, it’s also the same spot where she buried her friendly Gorilla which was called Digit. After the visit you will transfer back to your hotel.

On this day, you will leave the hotel very early in the morning at 0630hours after breakfast to meet with your guide then drive to the park entrance where you will start your hike. Hiking mountain Visoke/Bisoke takes 1-2hrs up and 1hr down depending on your fitness. After which you will return back to your hotel for lunch then later dinner and an overnight stay.

You will have morning breakfast before proceeding to visit the twin lakes, Lake Ruhondo and Burera for a boat cruise. Later you will be transferred to Kigali.

 After your city tour in Kigali, you will have a stopover at the Genocide Museum for a visit , then after depending on your departure flight time you will have a local lunch then proceed to the airport for your flight out to end the 7 Days Gorilla Tracking in Rwanda Safari.
