Pick up from your Nairobi hotel/residence or Nairobi airport at 7:00 am. Depart for Maasai Mara National Park via the Nairobi-Nakuru highway and enjoy a drive via typical African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Maasai herdsmen grazing their cattle. Along the way, we shall have a brief stopover at the spectacular Great Rift Valley, which is fault line measuring some 3,500 miles (5,700km) long, stretching from Ethiopia’s Red Sea through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, and into Mozambique. You will arrive at the camp in time to settle in before lunch. After lunch, you can take time to relax before we head out for our first game drive between 1700hrs to 1830hrs. We will return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Explore Maasai Mara
You will rise early on this day for breakfast. As the cool, fresh air fills your lungs you will feel invigorated and rejuvenated, ready for a great full day game drive. You will most certainly love to roll down the windows or stand up through the customized pop-up roof hatch and enjoy the unhindered 360 views, with the possibilities for seeing what lies ahead. Maasai Mara is one of the lushest reserves in Africa, and is globally renowned for the Great Migration when thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson's gazelle travel to and from the Serengeti, from July through October. In the Mara River, throngs of hippos and crocodiles lurk. The Park is also known for providing excellent predator sightings in their natural habitats, thanks to the relatively large populations of lion, cheetah, and leopard in the area. You will also likely see lots of Elephants, Masai giraffe, common zebra, impala, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles, Topi, Hartebeest, Black-backed jackal, spotted hyena and more.

Maasai Mara-Lake Nakuru National Park
You will rise up early for breakfast on this day, check out and depart Maasai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park. You will arrive at the lodge with enough time to settle in before lunch and a little time to relax before you head out for a game drive. Lake Nakuru National Park offers you a rare insight into Kenya’s most diverse flora and fauna. This area is famous for its huge flocks of pink flamingos that throng on Lake Nakuru itself. This is one of the Rift Valley soda lakes that comprises almost a third of the park's area. More than 450 species of birds have been recorded here as well as a rich diversity of other wildlife. Lions, leopards, warthogs, waterbucks, pythons, and white rhinos are just some of the animals you might see, and the landscapes range from sweeping grasslands bordering the lake to rocky cliffs and woodland. The Park also protects the largest euphorbia candelabrum forest in Africa.
Dinner and overnight. Ziwa Bush Lodge
