Pick up from Kigali to start your 3-day Gorilla safari from Kigali
You will be picked from the airport/guest house by our guide and transferred to Bwindi national park to start your 3 days Uganda gorilla trekking safari from Kigali. You will cross over to Uganda via the Cyanika /Katuna border. The journey will enable you to view the Kigezi hills characterized by the rolling hills and beautiful valleys. You will then proceed to Bwindi national park for an overnight stay.
Drive time: Approximately 4/5 hours
Lodge; Ride for a woman/Rushaga havens lodge
Meal plan: Lunch and dinner
Gorilla trekking in Bwindi National Park.
After an early morning breakfast, you will leave the lodge with your packed lunch and head to the park for briefing. You will then be briefed on the Do’s and Don’ts while with gorillas and be allocated the group you are to track with. Please note that tracking can be tiresome and strenuous so you need to inform your guide about your level of fitness so that he can get you a closer gorilla group for trekking. You will then proceed to track with your guide that will provide you with any information you may want to know. You will be allowed to do photography for a period not exceeding an hour. And after this beautiful experience of observing these beautiful primates, you will proceed back to the headquarters to get your gorilla tracking certificate. You will then head back to the lodge for an overnight stay.
