You will have a full day of excursions in the Serengeti on this day enjoying morning and afternoon game drives from the camp. The northern of the Serengeti, called Seronera, is a network of rivers that ensure dependable water supplies attracting wildlife throughout the year. It is here that you’ll have your best opportunity to spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino, and the Leopard. There will be no shortage of animal sightings as the presence of permanent mud pools and shade attract giraffes, impalas, warthogs and hippos. Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
This day will start with an early morning safari before breakfast to spot the animals when they are more active and also to have a fantastic sun rise in front of you. After the game drive, you will return to the camp for brunch followed by a transfer to Ngorongoro. With walls 2,000 ft high and a crater floor that spreads for 102 sq. miles, the crater is a virtual Noah's Ark, inhabited by almost every species of wildlife indigenous to East Africa including the rare black rhino. In fact, the crater has the greatest concentration of wild life in the planet. It contains a river, several swamps, from the top, looks like steam, full of flamingoes, a forest and open plains. The large bull elephants that reside here have extremely large tusk, due to the rich mineral content of the volcanic soil and its grasses.
There is a great possibility for an afternoon walking safari in Ngorongoro highlands. Accommodation can be upgraded to higher level options (at extra costs) or downgraded to more economic ones (price reduction).
Dinner and overnight. Ang'ata Ngorongoro Camp
Ngorongoro Crater
Very early in the morning you will descend down to the crater floor for a day of wildlife viewing in one of the most incredible places on Earth. After a stop for a picnic lunch near the hippo lake and more wildlife viewing in the afternoon, you will then drive up the steep road out of the crater and transfer to Manyara for an overnight stay. You can also visit Tarangire instead of Manyara and we recommend it from June to September.
There is a possibility of visiting Oldonyo Sambu Maasai Village on the way to Manyara/Tarangire. Accommodation can be upgraded to higher level options (at extra costs) or downgraded to more economic ones (price reduction).
