This 7-day safari combines two countries, Kenya and Tanzania for a wonderful game adventure through some of East Africa’s most iconic wildlife parks. You will be able to maximize time in world-famous locations like the Masai Mara in Kenya, Serengeti in Tanzania, and Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania.
Typical 7Day Kenya and Tanzania itinerary
Day 1: Arrive in Nairobi and Overnight
- You will arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi, Kenya.
- You will be transferred to your hotel for check-in, and Dinner
- Depending on your arrival time, consider an optional visit to the Giraffe Centre or the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see orphaned elephants.

Days 2–3: Experience Masai Mara National Reserve
- Depart Nairobi to Kenya’s legendary Masai Mara, known for its incredible wildlife concentration. You can either drive for about 5 hours or take a scenic flight with Safari link for about 1hour.
- You will spend two days on thrilling Full day, Morning, afternoon or evening game drives, searching for the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo).
- You can opt to do a hot-air balloon safari for a stunning sunrise view over the savannah.
- You will also Visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.

Day 4: Depart Masai Mara to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park
- Today after breakfast, you will drive from Masai Mara and head to the Kenya-Tanzania border.
- After all immigration procedures, you will Cross the border and meet your new safari vehicle and Tanzanian guide. You will then drive to the vast plains of the Serengeti, arriving in time for Lunch and later an afternoon game drive.
- If traveling during the right season, you may be able to witness the Great Migration.

Day 5: Full day Game drives in the Serengeti
- Today, you will rise early for a morning game drive to see predators on the hunt.
- You will spend the day exploring the Serengeti’s endless plains, you will be able to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs among others
- In the afternoon, you will enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness.
- Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay, listening to the sounds of the African night.
Day 6: Depart for Ngorongoro Crater
- Today, you will Leave the Serengeti after breakfast and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area
- You will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Enjoy an afternoon game drive on the crater floor, home to an incredibly high concentration of wildlife, including the rare black rhino.
- Have a picnic lunch surrounded by the stunning scenery.
- Accommodation: Ngorongoro Sopa lodge (Budget) or Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge (Midrange) or Ngorongoro Lions Paw Camp (Luxury)

Day 7: Departure
- Enjoy a final game drive in Ngorongoro or travel directly towards Arusha, Tanzania.
- Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.

- Pacing: This is a fast-paced tour for those that want to see more in a short time in two countries, involving significant travel days between national parks. If you prefer a more relaxed pace, consider a single-country safari or a longer trip.
- Game drives: You can opt to have a full day game drives or afternoon or Morning game drives to fully explore the parks
- Optional Activities: You can decide to add some activities in your itinerary while on ground, you will need to inform your guide in advance. You can add a visit to communities or Hot Air ballon in Mara and Serengeti.
- Flights: Domestic flights are available instead of driving so that you can maximize your time in Kenya and Tanzania Parks on this itinerary.
